Hi From Modern West

Modern West is soon to arrive in Europe and start our long awaited return to the stages there... that is... long awaited by us. We can't wait for everyone to hear our new CD "Turn It On" which will be released on February 22 in Europe. We'll be playing songs from that CD plus some of our favorites from our first CD "Untold Truths". We all still talk about how we felt when people started singing along to "Superman14" as we were playing in Juchen Germany, Arad Romania, Athens and many other places last October. It was so heartwarming and we felt so connected to everyone. We didn't know that people had even heard that song. Thanks to all the fans who turned out to hear us back then and thanks to everyone who already bought their tickets for the new tour. Several shows have already been sold out. We know there will be many familiar faces out in the audience when we return in a couple weeks. Our tour starts off in Barcelona on February 17 and finishes in Germany on the 26th of March. Check out our schedule if you haven't already bought your tickets.
When we get back home we'll rest a couple weeks before we play at Country Thunder in Florence, Arizona.
Right now we are in Nashville rehearsing and we will do one show at a cool little club called Douglas Corner. We'll have a lot of friends there and probably see some new faces but it's our party here and we plan to have some fun and try out some new songs.

Since I can’t buy a ticket to see Modern West (as you’ll be far, far away for awhile), the next best thing is to watch your movies , Kevin! Congrats on the 25th anniversary of Silverado, which I watched on TV tonight. OMG…You were just a baby in that one! LOL I have always loved a good Western, and tomorrow night I’ll watch one of the best ones ever made…Dances With Wolves. I always jokingly say that if I watch that movie ONE more time, someone will need to stage an intervention!

I can’t wait to see you again here in Germany and listen to the new cd. “Untold truth” is a true and loyal friend on my ipod, if I’m feeling bad I’m listening to your songs and I feel better. Really good production, really fat sound, the violin make it all very special. I love that. I loved the song right from the beginning and was very surprised about it all. All you need is an open heart - the rest will come by itself.

I have to say, just can´t wait till the 02/22 when your 2.nd CD supposed to come out. I am looking forward to this one so much. And then I´ve to hurry up - to learn the new songs untill the 03/03 when you come to rock Cologne ;0)
And I won´t come alone: Besides my twinsister (she has also been in Mannheim 2009, like I), I am also going to bring 5 colleagues of mine. Some of them saw your flyer in my office und just showed interest. So our little “fan-club” is rising already even before your new tour has started ;0). And I am pretty sure, they will be all thrilled after the concert.

Amazon.com now has “Turn It On” for pre-order, to arrive March 30th but it’s a CD only.

Kevin your heart is as big as your voice, with songs and concerts with so much meaning, as many of your movies have. Ut-Oh…we could be in trouble here!! Due to the horrible train crash in Brussels we are on the borderline of our Eurostar train being cancelled and therefore no way to get to Luxembourg!! NOOO!! Update so far is that the line will be closed until end of business on Sunday and we travel on the first train on the Monday….Fingers crossed.
Fancy flying us over Kevin? :)

When I first bought “Untold Truths” it was like “Wow! Check that out, Kevin Costner is in a band! When I listened to it the first time driving home from the store, I was absolutely amazed. I think we bought the very first tickets for the concert in Jüchen, on March 7th 2010 ;-) , because since October we are listening to nothing else but YOUR CD, I mean nothing else!!! It is so relaxing, rocking, comforting, one can feel and hear how much fun you guys have making (this) music.
