Tour News From Baden Baden

We want to thank everyone who has come to our shows here in Europe. And we want to thank everyone who has bought our new CD “Turn It On” and our first CD “Untold Truths”. We still have many shows to play on this tour and we’re all feeling great about the support you have given us.

After every show now the band has started going out to the front and signing autographs because we want our fans to know how much we appreciate them. Some people have just heard about us. Some have been there from the beginning and have come to many shows. We know who you are and seeing you out there is like seeing old friends again.

All our shows have been memorable so far  - here are some highlights:

Barcelona -The beautiful Palau de la Musica forever in our hearts

Madrid -The kids dancing with Kevin and the band

Paris – The sold out show at the beautiful historic La Cigale

Den Atelier in Luxembourg   -The great crowd and the wonderful food

Gothenburg – Warm Hearts – Cold nights – largest snowflakes ever seen

Helsinki – playing in the Ice Hall  - Everybody wore coats and warmed

up with beer and drinks – ready to party

Wetten Das – wild with Kiss and Pet Shop Boys and a taste of craziness.

Randers Denmark – The very first show on this tour that sold out.

-two weeks after tickets went on sale – Thanks!

Juchen – We loved Red Hot last time but the 2500 people crammed into the

Polodrom tent was like coming back home again

Leipzig – Gewandhaus – the beautiful concert hall with three tiers of

balconies. We still remember fans dancing “way up there”

Cologne – Ewerk in the old power house - great club- loud band-

minds blown by the incredible cathedral

Halle  - Gerry Weber Event center – in the middle of nowhere but out of

nowhere – a filled up hall with lots of old and new fans

Lutz Charity Event  - a stage in the most unlikely place – best tequila so far

on the tour ( Don’t tell anyone but we like to have a toast

                                 before each show)

Jüchen on Sunday: More than 3000 people full of expectations, dreams, hope and excitement only came to see you, me and many of them waiting for hours and hours outside in the extreme cold to get the best place in front of the stage. And then you, Mr. Costner, made your way to the stage from behind with all the 3000 welcoming you with wild and overwhelming applause, the spotlight always on you! You and your excellent band played an outstanding concert, very professional, with wonderful songs, always connecting yourself with your audience. You wanted to give something from yourself to us and sensitively shared some of your feelings with us in those 90 minutes. Indeed you left a good memory to all of us. In the end a choir of 3000 joined in singing “Saturday Night”. Wow. I very much like your softer love songs “Top Down”, “Nogales”, “Palisades” and especially “The Way That You Love Me” - how poetic to sing ... carry your heart in these two hands ... seufz… Really great potential! What a huge success you had! Jüchen loves all of you. And I was one of the first there!!! Please go on with your shows, this is only the beginning for you. My wish: come back soon. I’ll see you around in Siegburg.
Best wishes
Yours Gabi

Hi Kevin! Thank you - and your Band - very much for coming to Germany! At the age of about 15, “Dances with Wolves” really changed my life. So now, 20 years later, I also want to thank you for that fantastic, deeply touching movie, which will be my all-time favourite. Who would have guessed back than that we will have you here and experience such a great night as the last? Life is ace!!! :-)
Best wishes! Hope to see you again!

Jüchen was fine because we have met Kevin in person again
( hope the band and you did like the invitation for driving our special
convertible ........) .

After walking 2 km ( total that evening 4 km ) through the ackers and fields
to get to Polo from our parking place ( police did close all other places )  we enjoyed the music and the After Show Party.

The concert in Cologne ( where we have met Modern West in Person ) was sensational and best of 3 concerts we have seen.

SATURDAY NIGHT in Siegburg will exceed them all.We are sure it does.

It will be a LONG HOT NIGHT , DOWN IN Siegburg , and although it is more than
5 MINUTES TO AMERICA , the sun will rise again.

See you on Saturday and hope to dance with you guys

wow, thanks John! Your text touched my heart! It is so fantastic to see a band who still cares about fans! For too many bands out there, the fans are just a “thing that has to be there”. Too often they forgot, that the fans are the ones that brought them to this level. Basel was my one and only concert until now. And it was amazing! Mostly I was impressed about the energy on stage. You guys rock! Zurich will be soon the next one and I so looking forward to this!

Nati says:

I am still in high spirits, while playing your cd and telling my two little sons about Wednesday evening in Baden-Baden (they are 3 and 5 years old and listen her mum patiently… :-))!
Your intelligent songs, your delightful voices, the charisma of all members (thank you again for signing autographs!) performed magic and a wonderful mood.
But of course your music also animated to dance and rock - my friend and I were no longer able to sit down; so we had to dance and to clap our hands and to wave all the time. It was great, to feel like teens again (I am 38…).

Dear Mr Costner, since many years, I am impressed by you as an actor and - of course as a fascinating guy also - ; since Wednesday I believe, that you must be a very sympathetic and sensitive person, too; so different from the other hollywood-stars!

AND: thank you for your waving and the blowing of a kiss from the bottom of the concert hall, up to us two enthusiastic girls on the balkony… - for you certainly just a few unimportant seconds like thousands similar seconds on your tour, but for ME this moment was one of the greatest presents I ever got!!

THANKS, to all members of the crew for this unforgettable evening!

Dorothy

Dorothy says:

I wished I could turn back time: It was thursday afternoon and I could again anticipate your concert at the Grugahalle Essen. Instead I’m in an after-show-blues.
This was now my third concert. On October 18th I was amazed to see the metamorphosis of an “untouchable” Hollywoodstar to a very charming, decent and sensitive man who gets goose pimples when he realizes that people do not only appreciate his films but also his music. These kind of frank confessions are really touching!!

I know that the magic of “the first time” can’t be repeated but on Sunday I again was seized by a spontaneous “Wow“!!! It was so fantastic to see your efforts to get in touch with the audience. Unfortuately I was that jammed in the crowd that I hardly could move or even clapp my hands. But it was a pleasure to watch you making music with a fat smile on your face. Ha, now I know your little secret!!

And what heavenly conditions I meet in Essen: I could simply sit out the time till the beginning of the concert (not irrelevant to a middle-aged woman) and than had a perfekt dancefloor directly in front of the stage. Incredible! Your music is really rousing. It was like having a party with old friends in the meaning that all seemed to share similar wishes and expectations - no matter how old they were.

Thank you for giving me a great time, it was a memorable week.

Yours
Dorothy from Meerbusch

P.S. Have a save trip home - and come back.

Kevin and the Band,

I am again the one from Austin, TX that is looking forward to ya’ll coming back to the States! I know the people over there love you and I wish I had the means to tour over there following ya’ll. I just wanted to direct my statement to Mr. Costner, I read a newspaper you did with someone up in Canada and I just wanted to say that I appreciate that you want to make a film about Abraham Lincoln and George Washington. I think they are the two most influential people that have shaped our country and we do not give them credit enough. Here is one guy that would for sure go see a movie based on them. Thanks for being genuine, I hope to meet you some day in the future, until then blessings and hope. Now it’s off to the lake for some fishin’! Thanks again for being genuine in a world where that is hard to find.

Maybe I am the only one who feels like this, but…I could have gone to the concert in Switzerland, but I have chosen to drive 3 hours one way to attend a concert with reserved seating. First, my back hurts if I have to stand too long, second I can see more as I am not 2 Meters tall. If I am then in a concert hall with reserved seating and people directly in front of me stand up and don’t get down again or go to the front, this disapoints me. If then an artist does not respect the kind of venue, with asking the people to come to the front, then I am even more disapointed. I choose very carefully the venues to enjoy the music as much as possible, sitting on my seat! Otherwise the concert in Baden Baden was superb!

Hi Kevin, John, Teddy, Park, Blair, Collin and Bobby,

we enjoyed the concert in Juchen so much, somehow we felt so familiar with you guys, as if we had known you from childhood days, because you make us feel that way…very different from other “stars” that keep such a distance from the audience…when Kevin walked through the crowd, it felt like meeting an old friend, who we have known from the screen, but there he was, right beside us…a “Superman to touch”  Anyway, I heard that one song and from that moment on I can’t forget it, I gotta FIND THAT SONG “Find that girl”!!!
We are already looking forward to seeing you again in Juchen, until then, stay safe and

Hey guys!
Some days ago I thought it might be an interesting thing to go to one of your concerts an see how this man I know as an actor is doing on stage.

I got my ticket on wednesday, went to the concert on thursday in Essen, not knowing a single song. Didn’t even see you on Wetten dass… But WOW, was that a night! I just LOVED your show, i like the voices, the beat, the violin, the fun you seemed to have as much as I did… everything. The music goes straight to the heart and the feet. I came with nothing but curiosity and went home after seeing you from front row (which means not hearing too much of the sound because the speakers were behind me ;-)) with an autographed ticket, 2 signed cd’s, a guitar pick and every intention to see you guys again as soon as possible.

And so I went to your concert in Siegburg last night. This time I was more in the back, so I could hear you much better and that was awsome! I think the sound of the venue was pretty good, too.

Now all I can do ist say THANK YOU ALL FOR DOING WHAT YOU DO!!! Come back soon - I could need more nights full of happiness and all these other emotions you cause. You have a new devoted fan.

A big hug for all of you. Take care!

Hallo Mr. Coinman,

after two days I can tell you what I think about the concert in Hamburg.
To first I have to say, I had a wonderful evening and I enjoyed to sing and to dance with you.
I had very fun and I was happy to see you again.
But, what avail is it, when all on stage give your best, and the audience is sleeping.
This times you had really to work.
Last year I was in Mannheim to see you and I think it`s a different like day and night.
There was singing a full house of people.

I don`t know if you read all this stuff here. Sorry, but it`s my opinion.
For the next shows I hope the best for you. I`ll keep my fingers crossed for you.
I look forward to see your show in Dresden.

And I want to say, thank you all for the autographs, especially thanks Mr. Costner, you`ve sign my CD on stage.

Have a nice time and I wish you all the best.
